On Saturday I was at Borders book store and I got caught up in reading about vintage. I had no idea there was so much literature about vintage clothing, fabrics, and how to run a vintage business or consignment shop. I mostly found a lot of coffee table books with more photos than writing. But here are some books that will expand as well as entertain your little vintage minds.

If you love vintage clothing and want a good, informative book–with more text than pictures!–be sure to pick up The Little Guide to Vintage Clothing, which will be published by Quirk Books in Sept 09. I’m working on it now with the author, Melody Fortier (tangerineboutique.com). It provides expert advice on selecting, caring for, and fixing up quality pieces and it has a lovely design and color pictures. Visit irreference.com for more info!
